| “Board is a powerful songwriter with a voice straight from the heavens” writes Independent Songwriter.com. Stacey has made friends and fans across the west with her engaging performance of acoustic guitar-based pop/rock.
Stacey performs and tours almost non-stop since her move 9 years ago to Utah to make music full-time. Since her move to Utah, the reader's of the Salt Lake Weekly three years in a row voted her “Best Folk/Acoustic” artist in Utah. Also in that time she has been invited to perform in colleges, festivals, pubs, coffee houses and living rooms across the west.
October of 2006 brought the completion of her most recent studio work, Look To The Sun. Catalyst Magazine describes this work as “A fine release that balances thoughtful lyrics with shimmering, engaging music. Look to the Sun is a textbook example of how a talented independent artist can compete with major label budgets by emphasizing vision and creativity”.
Stacey had the pleasure of working with some amazing talent on this CD, including
lapsteel from noted guitarist Dylan Schorer, as well as fiddle performances and production assistance from Kate MacLeod. The CD was mastered by Mark Hallman of Congress House in Austin (Carole King, Patty Griffin, Lyle Lovett, Eliza Gilkyson).
The Missoula Independent stated “Stacey has much more going for her than a pretty voice and a pretty face… Look To The Sun lets each song builds into something layered, restless and insistent’. The Salt Lake Weekly has described Stacey as ‘one of the most talented and beautiful women to grace the field’.
Patty Larkin, The Flatlanders, Jonatha Brooke, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and many others have chosen Stacey to be their opening act. |
