Snowshoe Hikes Planned
The Quiet Use Coalition is hosting two interesting, fun and educational snowshoe hikes in Chaffee County on December 16 and February 17 that are open to all.
Participants will join the Michael Jordan of Snowshoeing for an easy walk on snow-covered trails. Snowshoes and a snack will be provided. They will learn about equipment, how to dress, where to go, technique and precautions. The hikes should prove beneficial to both novice and experienced snowshoers.
The outings are free, but the number of free snowshoes is limited. Interested people can get more information by calling 539-4112 or going to www.quetuse.org
