New mountain homes in central Colorado will be showcased during the 2006 Salida New Home Tour, 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 23-24 in Salida.
The new homes are in town and in the country, showing off the versatility of home building in the Salida area. The ten tour homes feature quality craftsmanship and a wide variety of architectural styles.
Sponsored by the Salida Chamber of Commerce, the event is designed to show off new development trends in the area and make it easy for new home buyers to strike up relationships with local builders, trades people and suppliers. The contractors and artisans who built the homes will be on hand to show the homes and answer questions about special features.
Some of the homes on the tour are model homes for new communities being built in Salida and are for sale. Others are lived in and are being shown off by the builders and the proud owner-occupants. The homes for sale range in price from under $200,000 to a million dollars, so there is something for every budget.
The homes on the tour will help generate design ideas for designing a new home or remodeling an older home and also demonstrate the latest in energy-efficient building technology. The new homes simply are fun places to look at and experience on the inside. At the same time you can enjoy the charm of Salidaa former railroad town that retains much of its Victorian flavor.
Tickets are good for either Saturday or Sunday and include detailed driving directions to each of the ten homes on the tour. The cost is $15.00 with youth under eighteen admitted free. All proceeds benefit the Salida Chamber of Commerce, which is proud of its showy homes, its builders, it's central Colorado location and it's pleasant fall weather for all to enjoy.
For further information and tickets by credit card/mail, contact the Salida Chamber at 719-539-2068 or visit the website at www.SalidaChamber.org. The website also features photos of the ten show homes to give you a sample of the beautiful homes on the tour. |
