South Central Racing and BBI International are hosting the first annual Going Green 100, a 100 mile recreational bike ride and Heathy living expo
in Salida CO August 26 and 27, 2006.
Sunday 8 am the century ride leaves from Salida and winds thru Buena Vista and on up to the top of beautiful Cottonwood Pass and back. Shorter
fun rides are also available.
The Going Green 100 Expo, which is free to the public, is an opportunity for businesses, non-profits and individuals interested in sharing
sustainable, renewable and environmental resources for consumer awareness.
Exhibitors will include alternative energy producers, green building, organic produce and products, hand-made local merchandise and much much more! The Expo will also have a beer garden, food vendors and a kids tent.
A sustainable energy forum featuring keynote speaker Daniel Chiras (author: The Solar House, Superbia!, and EcoKid) and Dave Sakrison (mayor
of Moab Utah) will be presented Saturday at 6pm.
Going Green is a coalition of businesses, nonprofits and individuals committed to a healthier and more sustainable lifestyle through education, fundraising, and recreational events. |
